Tribute To The Self-Made Man (Words and Music by Bob Knight) Can't blame my mother, can't blame my dad, Can't blame my brother for the trials that I’ve had. I’ve dealt with each one in every worldly way, It’s brought me here to where I am today I’m a tribute to the self-made man, I take credit for the shape I’m in, I’ve done everything the best I can, I’ve sought everybody’s council, save for Him. I thought I’d hit bottom, but then it got worse, I could’ve been lifted if I’d sought Him first. I can have peace like I’ve never known, If I claim the vict’ry of the cross for my own. REPEAT CHORUS I don’t know who I’ve been depending upon, It could’ve been Santa for the good that it’s done. I’m setting my sights on a brand new dawn, Where my eyes are focused on the heavenly One. So I’m giving up the self-made man, I give credit to the Great "I AM" I’m submitting to the Master’s plan, I give all my troubles to the Lamb, to the great "I AM", it’s the Master’s plan copyright © Bob Knight |

You Lifted Me (Words and Music by Bob Knight and Marie Espinoza) When I was wrong, wrong, wrong, You came along, long, long And then You lifted, lifted, You lifted me. My life was so, so bad, and I was oh so sad But then You lifted, lifted, You lifted me. And now I raise my hands to You, cause it's the natural thing to do For I was nothing, and You lifted me. And now I sing my praise to You, for it's the only thing to do You made me something, something - You lifted me. I give my life to You, it is what I must do. You made me something from nothing, You lifted me. I was so out of line, about to lose my mind And then You lifted, lifted, You lifted me. And now I raise my hands to You, cause it's the natural thing to do For I was nothing, and You lifted me. And now I sing my praise to You, for it's the only thing to do You made me something, something - You lifted me. You made me something, something - You lifted me. You made me something from nothing - Lord, You lifted me. copyright © Marie Espinoza and Bob Knight |

A Heartbeat (Words and Music by Bob Knight) I’ve got an unanswered prayer, but it won’t be for long, I’ve got a wonderful dream I’ve had for years. (There’s a friend I know) who is lonely and hurting, too, I’m asking now that you draw him near And show him what you can do. You can be there in a heartbeat, You can be there in a second, I know that actually You’re there now. You can mend a broken life now, change his outlook in an instant, Open his eyes up and show him how. I’ve got a friend who’s in need of Your awesome love, He’s one I wanna see when I’m finally with You in Heav’n above. Like me, he’s searched from Krishna to crystals and more, It’s gotta be plain to him now that You are the One he should bow before. REPEAT CHORUS If there’s anything I can do, show me where to start. But Lord I know that it's only You, to win over his heart. REPEAT CHORUS You can be there in a heartbeat… copyright © Bob Knight |

Day & Night (Words and Music by Bob Knight) Lord, I’ve heard of Your might, the miracles You work in every day life, I’m eager to love, but oh, so wary to trust. It’s hard to admit that I need something more, I’m sore afraid to open that door, so hard to let down my resistance, but I know that I must. Lord, come into my life, cut through this world just like a knife - Straight through to my heart, and open me up to the light. I’m a void, and I need You to fill me, ‘Cause this life I’m leading is surely gonna kill me, Please be the difference, the difference ‘tween day and night. The enemy sat on my stoop just today, he said, "drink from my cup, come see things my way, It took every ounce of strength in me just to break free, I’ve got no pride, and I’ve nothing to prove, I’ve heard talk of Your love, and the mountains You move, Now there’s only one question, Lord, can You do that for me. REPEAT CHORUS Lord, when I was on my own - I thought I had it all worked out, I thought I had my life in line. But I was really all alone - didn't know what I had missed You're the difference Lord, the difference, Lord, the difference, Lord. copyright © Bob Knight |

Savior, Master, King (Words and Music by Bob Knight) Savior, Master, King - You’re my everything, All I have I give to You in song You’re my all-in-all, (and) though great nations fall, You have stood beside me all along I’ve wondered at Your glory - marveled at Your power, I’m humbled by Your mercy - available every hour I’m taken by Your goodness, - astounded at Your grace, I’m resting in the comfort - Your spirit gives this place Savior, Master, King - You’re my everything, All I have I give to You in song You’re my all-in-all, (and) though great nations fall, You have stood beside me all along I’m staggered by the beauty - in all that You create I’m drawn into Your waiting arms - my life to dedicate I’m blessed by Your presence - I seek only Your face I’m awestruck by Your patience - Your love I can’t replace Savior, Master, King - You’re my everything, All I have I give to You in song You’re my all-in-all, (and) though great nations fall, You have stood beside me all along (repeat line 2 times) copyright © Bob Knight |

The Prophet (Words and Music by Bob Knight) He said, "You're fools, if you don't heed my words and fit the coming storm. Fatten up your pantries, and batten down your homes. Brothers, I have word (I do!) -- that this whole thing will fall down. Don't be caught delinquent when it means all that you own." There have long been murmurings about the final days, And those who have been steadfast can now only stand and praise. If some of us were doubters it would not surprise at all, But what to do when someone who you rely on predicts the fall? (But) What if he's right? What if he really knows the plan? What if we're hurtling toward destruction, every woman, child and man? What if he's right on the money, And the end of all we know is just around the corner and awaiting the final blow? We have all stood posted as the prophet fed us more, All the while to reconcile the blood paint on our door. He says, "it's time to act on faith and I know you believe it's true" But faced with this predicament, just what are we to do? Some of us refused to go, and some refused to stay, And much to our chagrin, some refused to abide even one more day. Some went on to hunker down and count the days and hours, Will God deliver us huddled amidst our beans and rice and flour? copyright © Bob Knight |
