Here are links to a few of my
favorite musician friends and instrument builders. Please visit their sites,
check out their art, and support them by buying their music and products!
Greg Wollan is an immensely
talented musician, vocalist and writer.
Just go listen to a couple of
samples. Wow! |

John
Jorgenson - one of my
dearest friends and bandmate for years, and in a league of his own as a player.
Visit

Although Sara Groves and I aren't
"friends," I did do sound for her once early in her career,
and was
floored at the complex beauty of her writing and performing, and so want
to share her art with you.
Please check out her music. You will be
blessed. |

| John Jorgenson turned
me on to this direct-to-public instrument and amp manufacturer back in
the 70s, and I've gotten some of my best equipment ever from them. Their
prices are great, their quality is incredible and their stuff just
sounds superior. Check out my rig at any given gig, and Carvin is a part
of it. |

A few years ago, I purchased a really
nice bouzouki (also known as an octave mandolin) from this Scottish
fellow I came across, David Kilpatrick.
It's a wonderful instrument, and he offers a range
of variations on this theme, such as octave and tenor mandolas,
mandolins and citterns - all nicely built, reasonably priced and offered
either with or without an onboard pickup system. |

Jim Olson builds wonderful guitars,
and is luthier to the stars. I met him some years ago and we did a
little pickin' together. He's made instruments for James Taylor, David
Crosby, Sting, Phil Keaggy and other acoustic guitar luminaries.
Better
have a few bucks and a lot of patience to put into this - starting price
is $13,000 and current wait time is about 9 months. |
